Today, over 250 transport companies are represented on the website and another 650 users are signed up to list loads. On average, the company connects 200 loads and carriers a month.
Findatruckload graduated from the SODA programme in October 2013 following 16 months of rapid growth where its revenue tripled to just over $3 million. That makes it New Zealand's largest truck transportation marketplace, and the company plans to expand into other area such as livestock, domestic freight and international shipping.
It is also one of five Waikato companies to make it on to the Deloitte Fast 50 2014 list of the country's fastest growing companies, at number 30 with 279.1 per cent growth.
SODA's programme gave Findatruckload access to benefits it wouldn't otherwise have had. “As well as the KPI setting and accountability we’ve benefitted from the compulsory time spend working on the business as well as networking with a large range of businesses and their leaders.”
Findatrucklad will continue to build its PR and networking opportunities through SODA events, and learn from continued mentoring sessions.
The company might have graduated from SODA’s incubation, but there’s still plenty of work to be done, Bishop says. “We are focussed on growing different verticals in the New Zealand market while validating the opportunity for us in Australia. The company is continuing to grow rapidly with nine staff now.”
And with SODA’s focus on building Kiwi businesses that can expand globally, it will be there for Findatruckload’s next stage.
